ABSTRACT
Plasmodium falciparum is one of four Malaria causing species and is res
ponsible the most
severe form of the disease in Ghana. Malaria is responsible for many devastating impacts
in the country. Quantification of the
disease parameters helps in the description and
understanding of the disease dynamic
s and thus aids in the
prevention and curbing of
many infectious diseases. This paper seeks to use a mathematical modeling to
quantify
and explain disease metrics, using data from Secondary data was obtained from the
Ghana
Health
Service (GHS), World Health Organization (WHO). The sources provided the
incidence rate from 1997 to 2008
and admission and mortalities from 1997 to 2009
respectively..
